Music Together of Sea Cliff
See what our parents and students have to say about our classes.
"My son started Music Together® around the time he turned a year old. Almost immediately he began verbalizing more sounds at home, and I've always attributed his improved communication to the musical interaction he experienced in class. Now that he's two and a half, he comes home singing complete songs and sometimes putting his own words to familiar tunes. I've loved watching him grow musically over the months, and I love that he's often the one who initiates our singing together now."
—Cara, Sea Cliff
"I like singing 'Hello Everybody.' And playing instruments!"
—Owen, age 2-1/2
"My son has been attending Music Together since he was six months old. From the start, it has been an amazing experience for both of us. The class teaches the kids about singing, dancing, and playing instruments. What I didn't expect was all the great advice the teachers would share on how to bond with your children through singing to them, making up silly songs and listening to their 'sounds' before they can even speak. Dylan is now two and a half and the songs are part of him. I believe it's taught him to enjoy music more."
—Kathleen, Sea Cliff
"Participating in the Music Together program is the best activity I've done with my daughters. To witness how their musical ability changes from a baby to a toddler to a preschooler is an amazing thing! They both really enjoy their music class ( and I do too)! "
—Mary, Locust Valley
"Kris' Music Together program has been a wonderful experience for both my daughters and is a truly joyful time we spend together."
—Dan, Locust Valley
"Hearing our children singing and making music together around the house is a delight. The Music Together experience has certainly played a key role in their love of music."
—Mary and Dan, Locust Valley
"We like playing all the instruments in music class."
—Katherine, age 5, and Clare, age 2-3/4
"We have been going to Music Together for about a year and a half now. It's been a fantastic family experience for us and something we look forward to on Saturday mornings. Our son, who is now two and two months, truly loved Music Together and his teacher right from the start. It has been interesting to see him grow and learn through the music and movement. Our experience goes beyond Saturday mornings. We listen to the CDs in the car and at home. Our son now sings along and moves to some of his favorite songs. When we play 'Ram, Sam, Sam' at home or in the car he wants to hear it again and again. We enjoy Music Together as much as he does. It's been a fun experience and a place we've met new friends."

"I started doing Music Together with my son, Will, when he was five months old. He took to it right away, and I did too. My husband and I learned new, engaging songs, from 'Tingalayo' to 'Shake those 'Simmons Down', to sing to Will around the house and on walks. The CDs continue to be the best pacifiers on long car trips and when stuck in traffic. We made and strengthened friendships through the class and look forward to going each week. Now that he is older, Will sings some of the songs with his friends when they play, including his cousins and his baby sister. We started to bring my daughter to class with us when she was just a month old and Will exhibited a newfound excitement as he performed the music that he knew for somebody important to him. I love that we can continue to do this class together as a family as the children grow."
—Liz, Sea Cliff
"I like it when we sing 'Everybody' and play big drums."
—Will, age 2-1/2
"Music Together was one of the few activities that I could do with my daughter from the time she was an infant. I had to wait to do swimming until she was six months old and longer for a Mommy and Me class. But I could do music right away and actually feel a connection and get out there and meet other moms."
-Kris, Sea Cliff
"The Music Together environment encourages even the youngest of babies to interact with other children and adults, as well as the music and instruments, in a circle format. As a first-time mom, it was my child's earliest socialization. I also appreciate the role modeling it offers early learners with listening for patterns, sharing with others, and understanding routine without forcing those lessons on the children."
—Jen, Bayville
"I like the BIGGG drum. It's bigger than me. I like when we all dance around like this [picture humorous movement!]."
—Colby, age 3
